| Why is
the OnStage priced higher than other Magic Sing
karaoke microphones? |
The Magic Sing OnStage is a higher
end karaoke microphone with many different features
that other Magic Sing karaoke microphones do not
have. For example, some of the features that make
it a little more pricy are its capabilities to use
a recording pack, which looks just like a song chip,
and record about 50 minutes of your own songs (you
singing). Once recorded, these songs can be transferred
with a USB cable to your computer hard drive and
later make a CD of your own songs. The OnStage has
different scoring features for Professional singers
as well as amateurs and can, with its live video
input function, use a video camera or DVD player
and allow you to change the background on the TV
while you sing.

| Which
Enter-tech Magic Sing is best for me or my family
members? |
It is very important to explore your
options when buying a Magic Sing. Whether you are
buying for the first time, as a gift or for yourself
it is important to keep in mind what features will
be the ones that you use the most. If you are only
gonna sing and do not need or want to record yourself
singing you should purchase the regular Magic Sing.
If you are interested in recording your own singing,
changing the background creatively while you sing,
and will definitely use the several scoring options,
it is best to purchase the OnStage.

| What
is the recording pack used for? |
The recording pack is the size of
a regular Magic Sing song chip and is used for the
ED-8000 or Magic Sing OnStage only. The recording
pack will not work on other microphones. It is used
to record yourself singing on the Magic Sing OnStage
or ED-8000, and should not be mistaken as having
capabilities of downloading songs from the internet.
This is not currently available with any Enter-tech
microphone.

| What does
video input mean? |
Video input in a karaoke microphone
means that you have the ability to change the background
on the TV while you sing. The Magic Sing comes with
pre-programmed backgrounds of mountains, flowers,
etc.
top |
| How do
I know if my microphone has video input? |
: You can usually tell if your microphone
has video input by checking the original RCA cable
that came with the microphone. If the microphone
has 2 yellow RCA jacks instead of 1, it has video
input.
2 Yellow RCA Jacks = Video input

| How do
I know what type of RCA cable my Magic Sing needs? |
Although it is very important to
know the general model of the microphone, most dealers/shops
do not always go by the model name when it comes
to selling RCA cables. Some good ways to figure
out what type of cable you need is by describing
what your original cable looks like, i.e. number
of pins, 6 or 7 pins, yellow RCA jacks, 1or 2, year
of purchase and color of the microphone. All of
these are factors that determine what cable you
need to purchase for the Magic Sing.

| What
type of AC adaptor should I purchase for my Magic
Sing? |
There used to be a couple different
types of adaptors that you could use on the Magic
Sing, some were bigger and heavier than others.
Currently however, Enter-tech has manufactured one
universal microphone AC adaptor 8V. It is light,
8V and can be used in the USA as well as overseas
because the current adapts. So if you are traveling
to Europe or somewhere else you can still use it
over there.

| What
type of song chips do I need to buy for my Magic
Sing? |
Just like picking an RCA cable, picking
out song chips is very similar. You should know
2 things when picking out song chips, the color
of the microphone and the number of slots (spaces)
in the back the microphone has for song chips. For
example, if your microphone is black and has 3 spaces
for song chips, you would ask for the black song
chips. If your microphone is silver, pearl, gold,
or black with 4 slots, then they all use the small
silver song chips.
top |
| How do
I know how many chips my microphone can hold? |
Newer microphones can typically hold
4 song chips in the back, aside from the built in
chip inside the memory. However, there are the older
black microphones that carry 2 or 3 song chips in
the back.
top |
| Are there
places where I can purchase song chips for my Black
microphone with 2 slots? |
Currently the majority of dealers/shops
only carry song chips for the 3 slot black microphone
and for the microphones with 4 slots. It is possible
to locate a dealer who carries song chips for the
2 slot black microphone but very unlikely in the
US.

| Why do I score so low on the ED-11000 or sometimes the mic does not score me at all when I sing? |
Because, The ED-11000 is a digital microphone, the voice is digitally transmitted from the microphone to the receiver stand, there is a delay in voice transmission. This delay in voice transmission causes the score to be lower than normal or not score at all at times. This is a known problem, which Enter-tech is currently working on. Please do not get discouraged with your score as this is a glitch that Enter-tech is working on.
top |
| Why doesn’t my sub-microphone score when I switch it to “Professional” or “Star Singer”? |
The EX-7900, EX-8900, or EX-9900 do not score when you use the “Professional or “Star Singer” option. This is a known problem which Enter-tech is working on. The main microphone for each of these companion mics will work with the “Professional” or “Star Singer”, but the sub-mics listed above will only work with the “Amateur” level.

| How long
is the manufacturer warranty on the Magic Sing? |
The manufacturer warranty is good
for a year from the purchase of the microphone,
and valid only when presenting original sales receipt.
top |
| What
is not covered by the 1 year warranty? |
The majority of electrical malfunctions
are covered under the 1 year warranty, with the
exception of the following things:
1. Tampering with the microphone (opening the
microphone and trying to repair yourself or by
a non-authorized Enter-tech repair center).
2. Battery leakage or explosion of batteries
3. Water damage
4. Physical or cosmetic damage includes and not
limited to dropping the microphone, throwing the
microphone or severing any of the wires because
of misuse.
